Do you like this two tone wall concept?
This is another idea that may not be new to you and I am sure youve seen this look before. A common look of two tone walls is the chair rail line which is more of a traditional design. However, I like the look of the chair rail, its nice to change it up a bit by not using an existing chair rail as your line. Try choosing a horizontal plane that suits you or maybe a vertical plane at a height that works best for you.
In this space the pink paint goes up a bit higher than the chair rail would normally and it gives the room a dramatic effect as well as playfulness. Another plus on choosing to use two toned wall paint is its a fabulous way to use the color you truly desire. If you do decide to use a bold paint color the two tone walls will help enhance the contrast of the white walls and ceiling. Bubble gum pink wall paint, Im sure isnt everyones idea of a dream wall color so use your imagination! Maybe a softer pastel paint color would be a better option to start with or be bold and pick a neon paint color.
A much softer paint option to consider in your home with two tone paint.
What about this vertical white and bright yellow painted wall? A more modern look but also very daring.
I personally love the look because it gives the space a sense of openness while also injecting some color and contrast. This look is best achie ved by using a lighter color on top and darker color on bottom. Lastly, To achieve the look go to eHows for instructions here.
