Neons are back! Like clockwork, fashion & interior design trends are never far behind from one another. Im personally digging this trend, from the clothes, nail polish, furnishings, accessories, bring on the neon. Neon can seem daunting for those unaccustomed to bold colors. The best way to go about incorporating neon into your home is the same way you should incorporate it into your wardrobe by adding neutrals.
A design tip to try is adding solid neon colors and not neon prints. If you want to be even more bold with neon prints go ahead but use sparingly. Also try keeping the rest of the space neutral so that the colors pop and energize rather than overwhelm the room. Some neutrals to consider using are white, black, or gray as a neutral backdrop to display accessories in vibrant neon shades.
Lastly dont overdo it!!! Just hints of neon goes a long way. Ive been liking the highlighter shades but consider only incorporating one or two neon accessories.
If you do decide to try this trend be prepared to experiment with these neon hues. Maybe pick one room to decorate using neon, use inexpensive accessories or even try out a DIY project before investing in an expensive statement piece. If you do decide to try out a DIY project or buy an accent piece you have the option of returning it or paint the item if you decide neon isnt for you. Below are some inspiring ideas of ways of decorating with neon below.
