MACMAMAU is an Italian brand which designs furnishing elements of high quality in small precious series. We recently received a press release from the studio introducing us with their newest creations, described by the developers as “authentic products characterized by a strong tie with traditional cabinetmaking and by constructive methods inspired from the the world of art”. Ilaria and Sara Patriarca, architect and illustrator, have given birth to Macmamau, an exclusive project with a strong Italian heritage.
Mechanical engraving, hand painting, lacquer and assemblage of the components are entrusted to specialized workers who combine the latest techniques with those of traditional cabinetmaking with mastery and knowledge. The graphic play of the incisions on the surface, made three-dimensional by precise cutting, and the tireless mechanical pencil are joined by a research of chromatic hues and shapes.
